A system built around how you actually work, not the other way round
Some workshops have a flow that no off-the-shelf tool quite fits. The way you quote, the way jobs branch, the way production and installation overlap, it is specific, and forcing it into generic software either fails or turns into a fight. Custom Build is for exactly that. We build a tailored quoting, production or operations system around your real process, on the same maintainable foundation as Board, and we deliberately stop before the weight and cost of full ERP.
The problem this solves
Off-the-shelf tools assume a standard flow. Bespoke and high-variation manufacturers rarely have one. So you end up either:
- bending your process to fit the software, losing the things that make you good, or
- patching around it with spreadsheets and workarounds until the “system” is half manual again.
A custom build removes that trade-off. The software fits your process, supports your variation, and replaces the fragile spreadsheets, without the rigidity, long implementation and overhead of ERP.

- Full Custom. A larger tailored system, quoted after a Production Visibility Audit and delivered in phases so value lands early and risk stays low.
Starting small and growing the system from real feedback is deliberate. It is how you avoid the big-bang projects that so often stall.
How it works
- Audit and design. We start with a Production Visibility Audit or scoping work, map your real flow, and agree what the system should do first.
- Phased build. We build in steps, putting working software in front of your team early and shaping it from how they actually use it.
- Adoption and refinement. Training, go-live, and refinement based on real use.
Worked remotely, with on-site arranged only if it genuinely helps.
What it costs
Starter Builds begin at EUR 6,000 (Ireland and UK) or 25,000 zl (Poland). Full custom systems are quoted after the audit, so the price reflects the real scope rather than a guess. Phased delivery means you are never committing the whole budget before you have seen the system working.
If you have done a Production Visibility Audit with us, that fee is credited toward the build.
Who this is for
Custom Build is a good fit if you:
- run bespoke or high-variation, made-to-order production
- have a flow that off-the-shelf tools cannot match cleanly
- want quoting, production and installation joined up in one system
- are done patching spreadsheets but do not want ERP
It is not the right fit if a standard tool would do the job. In that case Board Launch is faster and cheaper, and we will tell you so. If you are unsure, start with an audit and we will recommend honestly.
What happens after

- Further phases, added as the value of the first phase proves itself.
Common questions
How is this different from Board? Board is our off-the-shelf product. A custom build is for flows Board cannot match as-is, built on the same foundation so it stays maintainable.
How long does it take? A Starter Build is around two to three weeks. Larger systems are phased, with the first useful piece landing early.
Is it a throwaway one-off? No. It is built on a proven, maintainable foundation, not hand-rolled from scratch, so it can grow.
Why start with an audit? Because a good custom system depends on understanding your real flow first. The audit makes the quote accurate and the build right, and its fee is credited.
