The situation
A hardware manufacturer wanted live visibility of what is in production, what is blocked and what is finished, without adopting a system that would take months to introduce.
What was built
A working Board demonstration configured around their real production stages and workstations, rather than a generic sample, so the question on the table was whether their own team would use it rather than whether the software looked good.
What comes next
Standard production tracking covers most of what they need, but not all of it. Bills of materials matter here in a way they do not for every manufacturer, and keeping them in a separate place from production status recreates exactly the split the project is meant to remove. Bespoke bill-of-materials modules are being scoped on top of the standard system so both live in one place.
Status: Board demonstration built, bespoke modules being scoped.
